Getting started with MakeAIVideo

How does MakeAIVideo work?

You give us a topic or script. We generate the voice, visuals, captions, and music, then stitch them into a finished AI video. Download it, or post it to your connected social accounts now or on a schedule.

Do I need video-editing experience?

No. The output is opinionated: structure, pacing, captions, and music are chosen for you. You can fine-tune in the editor or just hit export.

What aspect ratios do you support?

9:16 (TikTok / Reels / Shorts) is the primary format. 1:1 and 16:9 are available for other surfaces.

How does pricing work?

Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial that includes 350 credits. After the trial, your plan starts automatically: Lite is $9 a month for 600 credits, Solo $19 for 1,100, Plus $29 for 1,750 and Pro $49 for 3,000. Paying yearly gets Lite one month free and Solo, Plus and Pro two months free. Each video costs credits, all in: script, voice, scenes, captions and export. An AI video with voiceover is about 22 credits a second (about 324 for 15 seconds) and a stock-footage video about 4 credits a second. The app shows the exact cost before you generate. Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial with 350 credits, full quality, no watermark and every tool. A card is required at signup. When the trial ends, the plan you chose starts automatically, monthly or yearly, unless you cancel before then. You can also start your plan early during the trial, and its monthly credits are added on top of the trial credits you have left.

What happens if I run out of credits?

Plan credits reset each month and don't roll over. Run out? Add credits any time, from $5. Credits you buy never expire and stack on top of your plan credits. Videos you have already rendered remain accessible regardless.

How do I cancel?

Cancel any time from Settings, Billing. Cancel during the trial and your plan doesn't start; cancel on a plan and it stops at the next renewal. Credits you bought never expire.

MakeAIVideo generation and quality

How long does a video take to generate?

Most videos finish in a few minutes, depending on length and style. Longer or more complex scripts take longer.

What if I don't like the result?

You can re-roll individual scenes from the editor without re-running the whole pipeline. Remaking a scene costs about 50 credits, and the app shows the cost first.

Can I upload my own images?

Yes. Use the “Your photos” media type when creating a video and add up to 5 reference photos. They guide the visuals rather than being used as clips. To animate one still into a short clip, use Image to Video.

Why did my video fail?

Most failures are due to upstream AI provider hiccups (rate limits, transient errors). If a video fails on our side, the credits go back to your balance automatically. Retry from the editor or contact support if it keeps happening.

Posting to social from MakeAIVideo

Can I post my videos straight to social media?

Yes. Connect your accounts in the app, then open any finished video and choose “Post to your accounts”. Post it now or schedule it for a date and time. You can post to TikTok, Instagram (as a Reel), YouTube (a 9:16 video as a Short, 16:9 as a regular video), Facebook Pages (as a Reel), LinkedIn, X (videos up to 140 seconds), Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Telegram and Discord.

Can I use a different caption on each platform?

Yes. Write one caption for every platform, or a separate caption for each. YouTube also gets its own title.

How many accounts can I connect?

It depends on your plan: Lite connects 2 social accounts, Solo 4, Plus 6 and Pro 10. Posting is free; your credits limit how many videos you make, not how many times you post.

How do I check that a post went out?

Open the Posts page. It lists every post with its result on each platform and a link to the live post.

Your MakeAIVideo account and data

Where are my videos stored?

On Cloudflare R2, served via our CDN. Your videos remain accessible while your account is active.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Settings → Profile → Delete account. This removes your account, organization, videos, and billing relationship. The action is irreversible.

Who owns the videos I generate?

You do. Generated videos are yours to use commercially, subject to the Terms.
