Getting started
- How does MakeAIVideo work?
- You give us a topic or script. We generate the voice, visuals, captions, and music, then stitch them into a finished AI video ready to download or post.
- Do I need video-editing experience?
- No. The output is opinionated: structure, pacing, captions, and music are chosen for you. You can fine-tune in the editor or just hit export.
- What aspect ratios do you support?
- 9:16 (TikTok / Reels / Shorts) is the primary format. 1:1 and 16:9 are available for other surfaces.
Credits & billing
- How does pricing work?
- Plans are subscription-based with monthly credit allowances. Credits are consumed by the AI work: script, voice, scene generation, and final compose. See the pricing page for current tiers.
- Is there a free tier?
- No free forever tier. There is a paid trial so you can verify output quality before committing to a monthly subscription.
- What happens if I run out of credits mid-month?
- You can buy a top-up pack (one-time purchase, never expires) or upgrade your plan. Your current month's already-rendered videos remain accessible regardless.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep access through the period you've paid for.
- Do you offer refunds?
- Refunds are handled case-by-case. Email support. If a render failed or you were charged in error, we'll make it right.
Generation & quality
- How long does a video take to generate?
- Most videos finish in 2–5 minutes depending on length and style. Longer or more complex scripts take longer.
- What if I don't like the result?
- You can re-roll individual scenes from the editor without re-running the whole pipeline. Each re-roll uses a small amount of credits.
- Can I upload my own images?
- Yes. Use the “Your photos” media type when creating a video. Your uploads become the source frames for the AI animation step.
- Why did my video fail?
- Most failures are due to upstream AI provider hiccups (rate limits, transient errors). Failed-mid-pipeline videos automatically refund unused credits. Retry from the editor or contact support if it keeps happening.
Account & data
- Where are my videos stored?
- On Cloudflare R2, served via our CDN. Your videos remain accessible while your account is active.
- Can I delete my account?
- Yes. Settings → Profile → Delete account. This removes your account, organization, videos, and billing relationship. The action is irreversible.
- Who owns the videos I generate?
- You do. Generated videos are yours to use commercially under your subscription, subject to the Terms.
