Yes. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. You enter a card at signup but you're not charged for the first 7 days, and you can cancel anytime in that window for no charge. After the trial, the plan you chose begins billing at its monthly rate. The free tools at /tools are separately free with no signup at all.

No. MakeAIVideo runs on AI infrastructure that costs us money per generation, so a free forever tier isn't sustainable without compromising output quality. The 7-day free trial lets you make your first videos before you decide; from there it's $9/month minimum.

Credits are the unit of generation budget. Each plan includes a monthly credit allowance that resets at the start of every billing cycle. Costs scale with what you're generating: short stock-narrated clips cost less than long AI-generated cinematics, talking-head clips fall in between. The app shows the exact credit cost before you hit generate, so there's no guesswork.

Plan credits reset each billing cycle and don't roll over. Top-up credits, on the other hand, never expire. They stack on top of your monthly allowance and stay in your account until used.

Top up any time with a one-off credit pack: Spark (350 credits, $9), Boost (800 credits, $19), Stack (1,700 credits, $39), or Bulk (3,600 credits, $79). Top-up credits never expire and are used after your monthly allowance is exhausted.

Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from the billing portal. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. You keep access until then.

Within the first 7 days of a paid subscription, contact support for a full refund if you're not satisfied. After 7 days, you can cancel any time and your plan stays active through the end of the billing period.

Your generated videos stay in your account and remain downloadable through the standard public CDN URLs. They don't disappear when you cancel. You just lose the ability to generate new ones until you resubscribe.
