Privacy Policy

What we collect

Account: email, name, profile photo, organization and workspace details.
Billing: processed by Stripe. We store only the Stripe customer and payment IDs and last-four digits of the card. Full card data never touches our servers.
Content: prompts, scripts, character images you upload, and generated videos. Stored in Cloudflare R2.
Usage: timestamps of generation operations, credit consumption, and error diagnostics.

How we use it

Operate the service and deliver the features you request.
Process credit purchases and meter credit usage.
Debug failures and detect abuse.
Send service emails (receipts, security alerts, feature changes).

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your content to train AI models. We do run Google Ads conversion tracking on this marketing site, which sets Google advertising cookies, and a Crisp chat widget on support pages. Both are listed below.

Third parties we share with

Stripe: payments
Cloudflare R2: media storage + CDN
Neon: managed Postgres
AI inference providers: the video, image, voice and language model providers that generate your content. Your prompts and character images are sent to these providers for the sole purpose of generating the content you request. A current list is available on request from privacy@makeaivideo.ai.
Google Ads: conversion tracking on this marketing site. Sets Google advertising cookies and reports whether a visit led to a signup. No account content or generated media is sent.
Crisp: the support chat widget. Receives the messages you send in chat, and your email address if you give one.
PostHog: product analytics. Collects pageviews, event usage, and identity (user and organization public IDs + email + credit balance). Used to understand which features matter and diagnose regressions. Not used for advertising or shared with third parties.

The MakeAIVideo iOS app

This policy also covers the MakeAIVideo iOS app. The app collects the following, all of it linked to your account and none of it used for trackingacross other companies’ apps or websites:

Email address and name: to create and operate your account.
User content: the prompts and scripts you submit and the videos generated from them.
Purchase history: which plan or credits were bought, so we can grant the right entitlement.
Product interaction and user ID: which screens and features are used, for app functionality and analytics.
Crash data and performance data: crash reports and hang reports collected through Apple’s MetricKit, including call stacks.
Other diagnostic data: client-side error reports the app sends to us when something fails.

Three things worth stating plainly, because they are easy to assume wrongly:

Sign in with Apple.If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we receive Apple’s private relay address rather than your real one. We treat it exactly as we would any other account email, and we do not attempt to resolve it to your real address.
Purchases in the app are processed by Apple, not by our payment processor. We receive the transaction and the resulting entitlement. We never see or store your card details.
Crash and diagnostic reports carry your organization identifier, so a report can be attributed to an account and acted on. They are used to fix faults, not to profile you.

Retention

Content is retained while your organization is active. On account deletion, content is removed within 30 days. Billing records are kept for 7 years as required by tax law. Aggregated, de-identified usage metrics may be retained indefinitely.

Your rights

You can export or delete your data by emailing privacy@makeaivideo.ai. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have rights under the GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, portability, and objection.

Children

Not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

Material changes will be emailed 7 days in advance. Contact privacy@makeaivideo.ai with questions.
