Terms of Service

1. Who we are

MakeAIVideo (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the AI short-form video generation platform available at makeaivideo.ai and through the MakeAIVideo iOS app. By creating an account or using the service, you (“you”, “user”) agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use MakeAIVideo. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or guardian agree to these Terms on your behalf. MakeAIVideo isn’t directed at children under 13.

3. Accounts and billing

Every MakeAIVideo plan starts with a 7-day free trial, and a card is required to start it. The trial includes 350 credits to use on any tool. When the trial ends, the plan you chose (monthly or yearly) starts automatically and is charged to your card, unless you cancel before then. You can also start your plan early during the trial, which adds the plan’s monthly credits on top of the trial credits you have left. A plan renews automatically each billing period until you cancel. You authorize us and our payment processor (Stripe) to charge the payment method on file on that recurring basis, and for any extra credits you choose to buy. Cancel or change your plan at any time in Settings → Billing.

Purchases made in the iOS app are billed by Apple rather than by us. A subscription bought through the App Store is managed in your Apple Account settings, and it must be cancelled there: we cannot cancel or refund an Apple purchase on your behalf, and cancelling in our settings does not stop an Apple subscription. Refunds for App Store purchases are requested from Apple under their refund policy.

4. Credits and fair use

Your balance is shown in credits. Generation operations (script, voice, video, composition) are charged in credits against your balance, and the app shows the cost before you generate. A plan includes a monthly allowance of credits, refilled in full on each billing date; unused plan credits do not carry over into the next billing period. Credits you buy are separate: they do not expire, they stack on top of your plan credits, and they are spent only once your plan credits are used up. Credits of either kind have no cash value and are not refundable for cash. Failed generation jobs caused by our pipeline are automatically returned to your balance.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use MakeAIVideo to generate content that is illegal, that depicts real people without consent, that infringes intellectual property rights, that is sexually explicit involving minors, that promotes violence or hate, or that attempts to defraud or mislead viewers. You are solely responsible for the content you generate and how you distribute it.

6. Content ownership

You own the videos you generate, subject to the terms of the underlying AI model providers we use. We retain a non-exclusive license to host, process, and serve your content as needed to operate the service. We do not use your content to train models without explicit consent.

7. Third-party services

MakeAIVideo uses third-party AI model providers to generate scripts, voices, images, video and music, and infrastructure providers including Cloudflare and Stripe. Your use of MakeAIVideo is also subject to their terms where applicable.

8. Refunds

Subscription charges are not refundable, and cancelling stops the next renewal rather than refunding the current period. Credits you buy are a one-time purchase and are also not refundable; they do not expire, so an unused balance stays in your account rather than being lost. If something goes wrong with a render on our side, contact support@makeaivideo.ai with your organization ID and we will look at it.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms. Credits purchased before termination are not refunded, including where we terminate for cause.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. AI output may be inaccurate, offensive, or fail to meet your expectations; you are responsible for reviewing output before use.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be emailed at least 7 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
